The younger generation may not know it but at one
time Willie Nelson was songwriter of the year.
Such songs as "Hello Wall", "Crazy" sung by Patsy Cline.
"Funny how Time Slips Away" & a host of other favorites. He is also a well recognized poet in his own circle of friends. Quite a few men from the baby boomer generation can relate to the wisdom of Willie Nelson.

 

Whether or not you are a country music fan, these are truly the words of a deep thinker, and a highly intelligent person. So simple, yet so profound!  Read the words of wisdom from that famous philosopher, Willie Nelson, iconic country and western singer, on his 80th birthday below his esteemed portrait. Only a man with such wisdom and maturity could be so concise and succinct in phrasing his feelings

at this turning point in his life.

Too bad! I am a 63 year old man born in the south. If you ask me if I ever used the "N" word I would have to say yes! Because when I was a child that was the only word used to describe Africa Americans at the time! As I grew older and my high school was integrated I began to see the world in a totally different light when I became friends with “Negros” and realized they were really just like me, just a different color! I still used the "N" word because it was so ingrained into me through my culture and family! When I finally went out on my own I began to stop using this word as I entered the work force and I changed my vocabulary and had to stop using southern lexicons that some seemed to find offensive even though I didn’t use them to offend everyone! It is drummed into our minds nowadays that we have to be tolerant and understanding of everyone and be inclusive to those we may disagree with! I think if she were a Latino lesbian they wouldn’t dare fire her! But since she is a blue eyed white women from the south its ok!

Is she a racist, I doubt it because she couldn’t get where she is today if she was! Is she may be somewhat prejudiced … well aren’t we all? I find it a shame that the Food Network is so afraid of PC backlash that they will turn on one of their biggest money makers in the past! I say, give her a break and let her make amends, don’t take her livelihood away and demonize her because of her cultural background!  How many offensive things have been said or even actions taken by African American celebrities that are dismissed because that’s their culture and we should be tolerant!? Where’s the tolerance and understanding in this situation! Sad!

Obama denies ........!

Liar, Liar pants on fire nose as long as a telephone wire!  When are the citizens of this country going to wake up and get rid of Obama and his idolaters! I do think even his useful idiots are waking up to this guy’s lies and deceitfulness! He has gotten so arrogant he believes he can have the IRS go after his opponents, let our people die in Benghazi give guns to Mexican cartel members who used them to kill hundreds of innocent people and an American border guard! All the time denying any knowledge of these activities! He either knew which is horrible or he didn’t know which is just as horrible!  Now he wants to arm Iranian rebels, just like we armed Afghanistan rebels to fight the Russians! (Maybe this is where the 1.5 billion bullets and those 1200 or so Anti Mine Personnel Carriers purchased by Homeland Security are going?!)  That Afghanistan action created a rebel leader who later declared war on the United States, which in turn manifested itself into the attack of the twin towers in New York killing over 3000 Americans! What will we create in Iran? Another monster! Let them kill each other all by themselves please! Let the Mexican cartels kill themselves off without us arming them to do so! We are now leaving Afghanistan and Iraq where we sacrificed thousands of our soldiers without a clear and distinct victory in either. I would guess that within a year al-Qaeda will be back operating with impunity in Afghanistan, and the Ba’ath Party will be back in power in Iraq!  So let’s leave Iran alone please, unless we want to just nuke them and get it over with! Let’s not sacrifice any more of our people in wars we do not intend to win please! So Obama we know when you are lying now, it’s when you open your mouth! PS: Did you know that there over 150 groups around the globe that are currently officially designated as terrorist by various governments? Just a thought!

A is for arthritis,
B is for bad back,
C is for the chest pains. Corned Beef? Cardiac?
D is for dental decay and decline,
E is for eyesight--can't read that top line.
F is for fissures and fluid retention
G is for gas (which I'd rather not mention--
and not to forget other gastrointestinal glitches)
H is high blood pressure
I is for itches, and lots of incisions
J is for joints, that now fail to flex
L is for libido--what happened to sex?
Wait! I forgot about K!
K is for my knees that crack all the time
(But forgive me, I get a few lapses in my
Memory from time to time)
N is for nerve (pinched) and neck (stiff) and neurosis
O is for osteo-for all the bones that crack
P is for prescriptions, that cost a small fortune
Q is for queasiness. Fatal or just the flu?
Give me another pill and I'll be good as new!
R is for reflux--one meal turns into two
S is for sleepless nights,
counting fears on how to pay my medical bills!
T is for tinnitus--I hear bells in my ears
and the word 'terminal' also rings too near
U is for urinary and the difficulties that flow (or not)
V is for vertigo, as life spins by
W is worry, for pains yet unfound
X is for X ray--and what one might find
Y is for year (another one, I'm still alive).
Z is for zest
For surviving the symptoms my body's deployed,
And keeping twenty-six doctors gainfully employed.

I remember in my last job I had set-up process and procedures that required the employees to perform at the 99.9% level. We provided training and certifications that provided the employee the knowledge and skills to perform at that level! Even with that some complained it was too hard to reach that level! They thought 99% would be good enough! Well it isn't!

Shame on our government for letting this happen, but it doesn't surprise me. Our government is just a reflection of the people who have voted them into office! We have the capability and the capacity to take care of all of these terrorists around the world who are killing our people with impunity! But we no longer have the political will (Better known as GUTS!) to take care of them! So we just let our people die! We wouldn’t want to upset these governments who harbor these terrorists by blowing them up to kingdom come! We are more concerned about taking guns away from law abiding citizens then making the world safer for Americans everywhere! And by the way when Obama signs UN Arms Trade Treaty you may fall under the governance of the UN who will be able to dictate through this treaty where certain guns may be sold! Supposedly to keep AK47’s and other weapons away from terrorists! But they could limit the number of guns being sold in the US and also the types of guns! So the liberals couldn’t pass gun control through congress so they will try and use this UN treaty! In closing we will have other Benghazi’s because our enemies know we really won’t do much about it! Actually when you commit a terrorists act here in the US like Army Maj. Nidal Hasan who killed 13 people and wounded another 29 while shouting “Allahu Akbar” meaning literally “Allah is greater”! ^[ He gets to represent himself in court; so we will supply him with an office and clerks to assist him in his defense! Are we nuts or what?! Can you believe this guy will have the right to interview all of the people he wounded! That’s what we’ve become!

 

A story about Benghazi The stunning part of this story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. Once the compound was overrun, the attackers were incensed to discover that just two men had inflicted so much death and destruction. The news has been full of the attacks on our embassies throughout the Muslim world, and in particular, the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others in Benghazi, Libya. However, there’s a little known story of incredible bravery, heroics, and courage that should be the top story. So what actually happened at the U.S. Embassy in Libya? We are learning more about this every day. Ambassador Stevens and Foreign Service officer Sean Smith, along with administrative staff, were working out of temporary quarters due to the fact that in the spring of 2011 during the so-called Arab Spring, the United States cut ties with then president Moammar Gadhafi. Our embassy was looted and ransacked, causing it to be unusable. It is still in a state of disrepair. Security for embassies and their personnel is to be provided by the host nation. Since Libya has gone through a civil war of sorts in the past 18 months, the current government is very unstable, and therefore, unreliable A well-organized attack by radical Muslims was planned specifically targeting the temporary U.S. Embassy building. The Libyan security force that was in place to protect our people deserted their post, or joined the attacking force. Either way, our people were in a real fix. And it should be noted that Ambassador Stevens had mentioned on more than one occasion to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, that he was quite concerned for his personal safety and the welfare of his people. It is thought that Ambassador Stevens was on a “hit list.” A short distance from the American compound, two Americans were sleeping. They were in Libya as independent contractors working an assignment totally unrelated to our embassy. They also happened to be former Navy Seal’s. When they heard the noise coming from the attack on our embassy, as you would expect from highly trained warriors, they ran to the fight. Apparently, they had no weapons, but seeing the Libyan guards dropping their guns in their haste in fleeing the scene, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty snatched up several of these discarded weapons and prepared to defend the American compound. Not knowing exactly what was taking place, the two Seal’s set up a defensive perimeter. Unfortunately Ambassador Stevens was already gravely injured, and Foreign Service officer, Sean Smith, was dead. However, due to their quick action and suppressive fire, twenty administrative personnel in the embassy were able to escape to safety. Eventually, these two courageous men were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers brought against them, an enemy force numbering between 100 to 200 attackers which came in two waves. But the stunning part of the story is that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty killed 60 of the attacking force. As it became apparent to these selfless heroes, they were definitely going to lose their lives unless some reinforcements showed up in a hurry. As we know now, that was not to be. I’m fairly certain they knew they were going to die in this gun fight, but not before they took a whole lot of bad guys with them! Illegal immigrants (Aliens!) can get driver’s license in Nevada! Across this country there is also a push to grant illegal access to our colleges, to Medicaid, food stamps, Homes and Housing Assistance, Jobs and Education Assistance, Children and Family Assistance, Health and Nutrition Assistance!  In the immigration bill now in congress they are proposing the illegal aliens can stay in the country until their status is determined. This can take years! This is backdoor amnesty! If this immigration bill gets passed as how I understand it, over the next 5 – 10 years, we will absorb and reward 12 – 20 million law breakers with one of the greatest gifts on earth! America Citizenship! Screw all of the honest people who have followed the process and waited for years to become citizens! Screw all the American citizens who won’t get into college, obtain low cost housing, and obtain Medicaid, or even food stamps because we have run out of funds supporting these 12 – 20 million illegals! It is estimated by some that immigration reform will cost the tax payers over $6,000,000,000,000, I could have just said $6 billion, but I think it is important to see the actual number! Also remember we have to pay the piper for Obama care over the same time period! Where is this money going to come from! Some people are under some foolish assumption that we can tax the rich and this will cover this cost! We could take all the money that the top 10% of our taxpayers and not even come close to paying our debts! Our national debt as I write this is $17,011,225,414,000!!! Yes that’s $17 TRILLION!!! Guess what, everyone will have to pay up! Today there are individuals in the country who pay nothing and actually get money back from the government when they file their taxes!  This will have to end, like it or not everyone will be paying higher and more taxes the ever before to cover these cost! According to the Government Trustees Medicare will run out of money in 2033, and Social Security will be insolvent by 2024!!! This is just around the corners! And now the Government wants to give Medicare and Social Security to illegal aliens!! Americans, when will you wake up and take the country back from these progressives and social engineers with all of these government programs that are all failures! When did you let the so called servants of the people become the masters of the people and live like kings and queens off of the tax payers back while Joe citizen is scrambling to put food on the table, a roof over his head! I think it may be too late already! We’ve hit the tipping point where the have not’s are coming close to out numbering the haves! When citizens re-elected Obama we started on a slippery slope that we may never recover from! Let’s pray that someone comes along to put a stop to the craziness and turns this country back around to it’s glory days!
