Though the FAA says it is strapped for cash, the air traffic control agency managed to find the dollars to update its interactive “command center” tool on its website so passengers can check if their airports are behind schedule due to what it calls sequester-related “staffing” problems. Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn noticed this rare case of FAA technological entrepreneurship and fired off a letter protesting what he called the agency’s “full blown media rollout” to hype the flight delays.

After Mr. Coburn published his letter on his website, FAA regional employees wrote to blow the whistle on their bosses. As one email put it, “the FAA management has stated in meetings that they need to make the furloughs as hard as possible for the public so that they understand how serious it is.”

Strategies include encouraging union workers to take the same furlough day to increase congestion. “I am disgusted with everything that I see since the sequester took place,” another FAA employee wrote. “Whether in HQ or at the field level it is clear that our management has no intention of managing anything. The only effort that I see is geared towards generating fear and demonstrating failure.”

ObamaCare is so odious that lawmakers and aides are trying to extricate themselves from its shackles. As Politico reported [in April], “Congressional leaders in both parties are engaged in high-level, confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges they are mandated to join as part of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.”

Could there be a more ringing indictment of the law? Not even its authors and supporters, Democrats all, want to be under its control. And yet they expect the rest of the country to submit to a law they have found lacking.

We could call the congressional Democrats who want to exempt themselves from ObamaCare hypocrites, and while that’s an apt description, they are also realists. They see the law up close and first-hand and know that it has problems.

So where is the outrage from the Media? I don’t remember seeing Jesse or Al asking for her head on a platter? Now she is saying that she meant it as a compliment! Yea sure! Poor Matt Damon, he has just came to the realization that he is just one of the “useful idiots” that are so numerous in this country who support political figures. Republican and Democrats! It does seem to though that Obama has an extra ordinary amount of them! It’s too late now for then to wake up and understand how they were used! Maybe as more of these individuals wake up they would inform the Senators and Congressman to step up and stop this progressive movement! USEFUL IDIOT:  In political jargon, useful idiot is a pejorative term for people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they do not understand, and who is used cynically by the leaders of the cause.

Here’s Alec Baldwin who called his daughter a “rude and thoughtless little pig”, thrown off America Airlines for being rude to the attendants, who said “all paparazzi should be water boarded”, indicated if they were “wearing hoodies he could shoot them and get away with it”, promised he would leave the US if Bush got elected, but sorrowfully he didn’t, and when the National Enquirer reporter  Mike Walker wrote about him negatively he called him a “whore” and a “queen”,  also call barista in Starbucks a “queen” because he thought he had a bad attitude! And now he is being rewarded with a TV show on CNBC (no surprise)!? Can you just imagine if a conservative actor or politician had behaved this way? They would have been attacked ruthlessly by the media and other left wing groups calling for their heads on a platter! But no the so called unbiased media give him a pass! Just like Rae Dawn Chong calling Oprah Winfrey a ni—er on a radio interview but was not called out like Paula Dean? I wonder why?

This as a perfect example of overkill! It's just a word! A person shouldn't lose their lively hood over a word! Especially one that is expounded a thousand or even a million times a day by the same people who go crazy whenever it's used by the so called wrong person! Everyone is sooooo scared to offend a certain group they run around apologizing for every little so called slight while the group itself allows its culture to devour its young men and women! I would think someone should be more offended by the music degrading their girls and women, how their young men are turning to a thug mentality and admiring Snope Dog and Nellie, while calling Clarence Thomas and Colin Powell Uncle Toms! Allowing their young women to admire and immolate someone like Rhianna while castigating Condoleezza Rice! Who cares what a white guy says at a Kenny Chesney concert! As for you Kenny Chesney I will never buy one of your records again or watch another concert or video because you’re such a wimp! And I will encourage all my friends and family to do the same! Ok, we caught the bad white guy! Yahooooo!  Everyone can now sleep better tonight!

"The Ten Cannots!" and the "Seven National Crimes!", William John Henry Boetcker

I stumbled upon this while researching another email regarding an Abraham Lincoln quote! After reading this I thought I would share it on my blog. I think it’s appropriate considering what’s happening in our country today!

William John Henry Boetcker (1873–1962) was an American religious leader and influential public speaker.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, he was ordained a Presbyterian minister soon after his arrival in the United States as a young adult. The Rev. Boetcker was ordained in Brooklyn, New York.
He quickly gained attention as an eloquent motivational speaker, and is often regarded today as the forerunner of such contemporary "success coaches" as Anthony Robbins.

The Ten Cannots[edit]

An outspoken political conservative, Rev. Boetcker is perhaps best remembered for his authorship of a pamphlet entitled The Ten Cannots that emphasizes freedom and responsibility of the individual on himself. Originally published in 1916, it is often misattributed to Abraham Lincoln. The error apparently stems from a leaflet printed in 1942 by a conservative political organization called the Committee for Constitutional Government. The leaflet bore the title "Lincoln on Limitations" and contained some genuine Lincoln quotations on one side and the "Ten Cannots" on the other, with the attributions switched. The genuine Lincoln quotations may have been from an address on March 21, 1864 in which Lincoln said "Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built." ^[1] The mistake of crediting Lincoln for "The Ten Cannots" has been repeated many times since, notably by Ronald Reagan in his address to the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston.^[2][3]

There are several minor variants of the pamphlet in circulation, but the most commonly accepted version appears below:

• You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
• You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
• You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
• You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
• You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
• You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
• You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
• You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
• You cannot build character and courage by destroying men's initiative and independence.
• And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

Boetcker also spoke of the "Seven National Crimes":^[4]

• I don’t think.
• I don’t know.
• I don’t care.
• I am too busy.
• I leave well enough alone.
• I have no time to read and find out.
• I am not interested.
