Let's begin with a verbatim quote from President Obama from July of 2009, touting the legislative perfection that would be Obamacare:

 

“If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

 

NBC News reported, the White House knew at least as early as 2010 that millions of Americans would not be able to keep their plans. Duke university scholar Christopher Conover estimates that 129 million Americans will lose their current health insurance plans due to ObamaCare.

 

As far as existing policies the Administration knew that many of these policies would be changed by the insurance carriers. In 2010 HHS estimated that 40% to 67% of individual plans would lose their grandfather status!  And yet, despite this estimate Obama kept repeating his mantra that if you liked your plan, you can keep it, leading many, including the Washington Post Fact Checker to conclude that, at best, the president was being disingenuous, and, at worst, deceitful!  (or just plain lying to the America public!)

My Opinion: Over time as more and more individuals lose their current private coverage, they will be forced into Obama Care! My guess is in the next 10 years that most of the people in America will be getting their health care through a single provider! The government controlled Obama Care!

This guy has been in practice for 40 years and I think he knows a thing or two. I think every vet who has complained about Dr. Pol should ride along with him for a week, most of you guys wouldn't even last that long!! Then come back and have your say! I saw the episode about the little dog that was mauled! I think his explanation for his actions seemed plausible to me! The little dog was in shock so he couldn't administer anesthesia or the dog may die! He gave the dog pain medicine and steroids to hopefully reduce the swelling and put him in a cage with a heating pad to hopefully raise its temperature so he could operate! You make it sound like he just threw the poor animal in cage and left! Shame on you! Did that make you feel superior! That dog should have been put down but he was trying to save it! The examples you give from the show are curt and leave out quite a bit of info! If this complaint is the only complaint over a 40 year career I think that is amazing don't you!? Dr. Pol always explains to the owners why he does what he does! He will say that this is NOT what's in the text books, but his 40 years of experience taught him how to do it a little different but gets the same results! I don't hear any of his customers complaining and have you even spoken to any! A lot of this sounds like jealously and petty! Also lets talk about the tail issue, you said the dog should have been anesthetized and put on an anesthetic machine! Just to clip the end of the TIP of its tail! I don't think you would want to risk an anesthetized dog for this! Seems to me the risk of something happening to the animal is much higher that way! He provided a local, snipped and used antibiotic and other medications on the wound, patched it up and send the dog home! Sounds good to me if that were my dog! If he told me he had to totally anesthetize the animal for this procedure that to me would be questionable and a little overboard! So get off his back you guys he may not totally practice medicine by the book but I haven’t seen anything on the show that looked bad or out of line! I am not a doctor but when something is not right you know it! Would you go to a farm and check 58 cows to see if they were pregnant in one day? Would you go to farm and treat a female goat with a prolapsed uterus way after hours?  You guys probably have a nice office practice taking care of poodles and yorkies of the rich and famous, never sticking your arm up and animal’s vagina or anus to do an examination!?  Shame, shame for attacking him!

President says he'll run the country through Executive Orders!

 

Too bad Obama doesn’t have class like Payton Manning who faced his critics after one of the worst games of his life and took the blame without being obnoxious and arrogant! The arrogance of this president is unbelievable! He says HE will run the country through executive order if HE doesn’t get what HE wants! HE has already changes the policy of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to NOT arrest and deport the majority of illegals in the country today! This basically is de-facto amnesty which he could not get through congress! The term ‘immigration reform’ is now just a code for amnesty! HE is so arrogant the HE invited (now this is our president who is supposed to uphold the law of the land, right?) illegal aliens to his State of the Union address while he won’t meet with ICE agents who have concerns about HIS policy! We have a President who will provide those illegally in the US with the seat of honor at one of the most important events of the year, but ICE officers who serve under him and risk their lives for this country are unwelcome in the White House!  It may be too late because Americans went to the polls and re-elected this guy for another 4 years! HE now thinks he has a mandate to do whatever HE wants and we may not be able to stop him! If those of you who voted for him wanted a dictator you’re on your way to getting one. If you don’t want a dictator you better get active with your legislatures to start the processes of overturning executive orders!

Donna, always thought your comments and believes were insane. This just proves that to be true! Donna do you really believe all of our soldiers who died defending our country did so to allow illegal (criminals) to vote! Do you all of you politicians want to stay in power so bad that you would vote for amnesty? We need as a nation need to look at these tragedies with guns differently. Psychiatrist E. Fuller Torrey, MD, a researcher who specializes in schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder and the founder of the Treatment Advocacy Center, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting timely and effective treatment of severe mental illness calls crimes like these shootings at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, the movie theater in Aurora, Colorado and Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut – as well as dozens of other recent homicide’s “a predictable tragedy”! (Quoted from Reader’s Digest).  As we all know when the relatives and friends of these perpetrators of these heinous acts when interviewed, they inevitably will say they displayed signs of severe mental illness, either schizophrenia, bi-polar and or some type of autism! This is not to say that people suffering from these illnesses are going to go on mass shooting sprees! Obviously, many violent acts in our society are perpetrated by the so called “sane”! And most of the violence committed by the severely mentally ill is inflicted upon themselves!  It is also mentioned that these relatives and friends were trying to get them help but it was either not available or because of ‘so called’ patient rights unless it was observed that the patient tried to kill or maim themselves or someone else it is relatively impossible to get them institutionalized for the help they need! In the late 1950’s there were about a half a million people living in mental institutions. By the late 70’s there were a little over 100,000 due to efforts of psychiatrists, philanthropist, and politicians to deinstitutionalize the mentally ill! Let’s say the pendulum has now swung far past patient rights into the territory of wild neglect! So what does all of this mean? There are more “severely” mentally ill patients in our society who can’t or want to get help for their disease! There are too many mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters and friends of these individuals trying to get help from a shrinking base of psychiatric care across the nation! Adam Llanza’s mother and friends KNEW he was sick but could not get him committed which would have prevented this “predictable tragedy!” I think all the money and effort put forth to eliminate guns needs to be put into having more access to facilities that can help these people with “severe” mental illness! No one wants to go back were a psychiatrist could institutionalize an individual because they didn’t like the way they comb their hair! Obama to act without Congresses Approval!

He wants to be our dictator! And we are going to let him! He and the other progressives are so arrogant that even when the majority of the people and the duly elected representatives of these people say NO to an issue that HE and THEY think should be done then he uses his executive orders to by-pass the process! Just like he has given the illegals in the country de-facto clemency by ordering ICE agents not to arrest or deport the majority of them! I thought we had the 3 distinct branches of government the legislative, judicial, and executive! I thought this was done so one branch couldn't act without the other 2 in agreement to prevent anyone from becoming too powerful! I am wondering how Obama can just do what he wants through executive order! Isn't that a dictator? I can't think of any other word! If you read your history this is how dictators in the past came to power! They persuaded the people that they had all the answers and all they needed was the power to act! And we all know how these situations turned out! Executive orders can be overturned by either of the other two branches: the Supreme Court can do so through a case that is brought in front of them and Congress can do so by passing legislation that would conflict with the order or by refusing to approve funding to enforce it. The president still has the right to veto a decision from Congress, which Congress can override as always with a two-thirds majority that would end the executive order. However, this is nearly impossible because of the supermajority vote that is required as well as the fact that individual lawmakers can be left very vulnerable to political criticism. Basically this means our legislators don’t have the ballocks or gonads to do what is right! Our legislators today are sooo scared of upsetting special groups they have become basically paralyzed! I really think they like the executive order because it gives them political cover! For instance with the illegal alien issue, when they all get amnesty and can vote, these legislators can say they didn’t vote against it! Let us ALL understand what a slippery slope we are getting into! Once we as a country let us be ruled by executive order than you really need to understand what that means! Basically we would now have in fact a dictator!  I think we as a people have become so lazy when it comes to politics we care more about American Idol then what’s happening in Washington! As you sow, so shall you reap! I think it’s time we started thinking about what type of country we are going to leave to our grand-children?

Amnisty for Illegals! Another Comment!

Why don't we just open our borders and let anyone who wants to come in come in. Today we seem to want to reward the criminals that broke the law to get here and punish the ones who are trying to come in legally! What's with our country? If you commit a crime you should have to pay! Don't tell me they have done this for a better life for them and their children! You could say the same thing about drug dealers! I don't see any amnesty for them? I hope you supporters of amnesty understand how allowing 12 to 20 million illegals the right to vote will change the landscape of our country!? Also I thought our lawmakers are sworn in to obey the law and support the constitution? How can they support these law breakers! Obama has already given illegal aliens in the country today de-facto amnesty by instructing ICE not to arrest or deport most of them that are already here! I am sorry but all of this talk of amnesty and allowing illegals who are criminals be given one of the greatest gifts on earth, that is citizenship to the US just makes me sick! An watching an illegal march in my streets demanding rights that they don't deserve also makes me sick! I am old and will be dead soon but I am really concerned and worried about what this administration and the progressive movement will leave my grandchildren!

 Let's stop the violence period! Just blaming guns is not the answer! Obama's proposals to curb gun violence include reinstating the U.S. ban on some semi-automatic rifles, limiting the capacity of ammunition magazines, and more extensive background checks of prospective gun buyers, largely to verify whether they have a history of crime or mental illness. That all sounds nice from a political perspective but impractical from an enforcement standpoint! The Justice Department and the ATF currently do not have the resources to enforce the current laws! Only about 15%! They consider most of these violations "paper crime" and rather put their resources into catching violent criminals assaulting our citizens! Michael Bouchard, a former ATF assistant director for field operations says, “It’s simply a matter of using your resources wisely to effectively combat violent crime," he said in an interview. "To combat violent crime, they're going to go after criminals who are already in possession of guns or are using guns, rather than people who didn't get a gun." The FBI said it conducted 16.5 million background checks for gun purchases in 2011. Of those, 78,211 ended in denials of eligibility because of a past conviction, a warrant for an arrest, drug abuse or other reason. Forty-four attempted buyers faced prosecution in 2010! Even by this statement should make everyone aware that there are BACKGOUND CHECKSalready in place! I would also like to address blaming all the ills of violence on the so called gun lobby aka:  the NRA! The demonization of the NRA has been under way now for some time! They have demonized legal gun owners and especially the members of the NRA! With the help of the main stream media they always depict a NRA member as a big white bubba type guy in overalls wearing a hunting hat maybe chewing tobacco holding guns standing amongst dead children with a toothless smile on his face! This would be like depicting a member of the NAACP as a black man with pikanini hair big flat nose and big oversized lips really black skin (can’t pass the grocery bag test!) wearing overalls with one strap undone, slingshot in back pocket bare footed standing in a cotton field ogling the white women on the corner! Two others in the background dealing crack! Just how long do you think they would get away with that! But it’s ok to depict an NRA member as a big stupid white bubba! These Progressive are big on jumping on people who supposedly engaged in some kind of hate speech toward minorities are gays! But no one in the media or any other so called watch groups speak up when these Progressives  advocate beheadings, beatings, lynching’s, killing all the members of NRA families, putting peoples head on a stake!  So, it’s come to this: Advocating beheadings, beatings and the mass murder of peaceful Americans! But because the advocates of violence fashion themselves champions of non-violence and because they inhabit the hallowed worlds of Hollywood, academia and the Democratic Party, it’s acceptable? Blood-lusting hate speech must not get a pass just because it comes out of the mouths of the protected anti-gun class. Let’s remember our world history! The countries that in the past fell under the spell of great orators who started to blame all the ills of their society on specific class of people! Back in the day it was the Jews, Gypsies, Poles and Muslims! The ministry of propaganda just kept hitting it home if they could just get rid of the demons everything would be alright! Well we know how that turned out! In closing my wife and I were at a party the other evening and one of the people there started to parrot the hate speech that Americans are now being indoctrinated with today! He said that all NRA members and their families should be taken from their homes and shot! Its funny (not really!) that it’s ok to use a gun to enforce their beliefs that the NRA members shouldn’t have them! I asked this gentleman (using this term very loosely!) if he really believed that and would he be willing to pull the trigger? Believe it or not he said boastfully YES! (These are the type of people who wind up as guards at concentration camps!) Well, I said that my wife and I are NRA members and I had a gun in the car! Should we go outside so you can shoot my wife who is a 62 year old grey haired mother of 3 and grandmother of 6! Then you can hunt down our children and grandchildren and take them from their homes and shoot them also! It would be pretty bloody and could he handle screams from the babies! Well I guess I ruined the party because he now became belligerent because my wife and I were NRA members! I guess he thought we should be wearing a yellow star or something so we could be easily recognized when the shooting started! Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it! But true. Of course he didn’t want to shoot us, just the Bubba’s he sees in political cartoons!
