Hasn't this happened every year for the last 20+ years? Remember 1985 and 'We Are The World' song with a whole host of singers in a choir put together by Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson?! Also remember 'Band Aids', 'Don't They Know It's Christmas'!? All of this was done for African famine relief? What happened? Something has to change in these countries that allow for their populations to starve every year! What is it? Politics? Culture?  Whatever! I am tired of these charities and relief organization rolling out the starving mother and child to tug at my heart strings to get me to donate money that will go into someone’s pocket and not used to feed anyone? Don’t we know that any food delivered to these countries are high jacked by the war lords and then sold on the black market to make themselves rich!? Why do we continue to do this every year? We should all refuse to send any money to any relief fund to feed people outside of America until all Americans are fed first! Aren’t you tired of being bomb barded with starving children images from Africa, South America, Mexico and even Pakistan! Come on folks let’s realize we really can’t feed the world!

In today’s environment of political correctness I would not have been surprised if Tonto would have been portrayed as a woman who was 1/3 Black, 1/3 Cherokee Indian and 1/3 Hispanic! In of course lets through in being bi-sexual! The Lone Ranger would be not only a ranger but an ex Confederate Soldier who is an ex-slave owner and a serious racist and misogynist! He is also wrestling with his own sexuality because of some of the deep relationships he had with other soldiers in his unit during the war. The movie would be about the redemption of the Lone Ranger as his relationship with Tonto erases his racist and misogynist ways! She also awaking’s his own bi-sexuality after arranging a 3 way with one of her former male lovers who is a half white half black ex-slave! As the movie comes to an end the Lone Ranger and Tonto have bought a way station along the new rail system that now goes coast to coast! Also servicing the Pony Express and stage coaches moving people and payrolls from St. Louis to Albuquerque! Leaving multiple possibilities for sequels that can turn into a franchise just like the Pirates of the Caribbean! Getting back to Johnny Depp playing Tonto? Really what I see from the trailers is Depp, playing Jack Sparrow playing Tonto! It appears his role is to supply comic relief in what could have been an excellent movie with a real Indian actor.  Portraying Tonto as a strong person who partners with and uses the Lone Ranger to achieve his revenge instead of acting like an Indian Steppin Fetchit!  There would be a struggle throughout the movie as to who is the alpha male in this partnership! Together they both are able to reach a conclusion and closure to their issues that brought them together in the first place!  Regardless of what activity they are involved with it always turns into a competition which at time allows the bad guys to get away! Who is the best shooter, tracker, horseman, fighter and don’t forget lover! This would continue on in the many sequels that they all would hope for!

What I don’t understand is how so called educated people can be fooled into such folly that these so called new gun control laws will affect anything!?  The new law that bans an additional 100 guns to an already exhaustive list of banned weapons! Requiring background checks for all purchases of any guns and bars the sale of ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 bullets. Gun owners would need to undergo a background check to get a certificate required to buy cartridges, while those with a banned model or magazine would have to register with the state. As I read these new laws I don’t see anywhere they will make anyone any safer from gun violence in the state of Connecticut! What I do see is gun control advocates getting some laws on the books that ban, bar and requires registration of certain models and magazines. Remember if history has taught us anything is that registration always leads to confiscation! And what makes anyone think that sociopaths and psychopaths will abide by any law? I guess one of the positives according to Forbes Magazine relating to the 23 Executive orders signed by the president is “It does not appear that any of the executive orders would have any impact on the guns people currently own-or would like to purchase- and that all proposals regarding limiting the availability of assault weapons or large ammunition magazines will be proposed for Congressional action.”  Banning fire arms, ammunition and clips just makes them illegal and creates a black market that will make some criminals very rich! Look what banning drugs have done. Created large cartels fighting and killing each other and law abiding citizens to control the drug traffic basically to the U.S.! Why, because there is a demand! Making anything illegal doesn’t remove the demand! The demand for these types of fire arms has already sky rocketed and increased the price of an AR-15 10 fold! With the talk of gun control there has been a run on guns and associated ammo across the country at a rate never seen before! And why does Homeland Security need 1.6 billion bullets? More people have requested carrying a concealed weapons licenses than ever before!? I think we need to get away from banning guns and try to understand why more people today feel the need to have and carry weapons? I guess one good reason is the response time of 911emergencies! While there is no national average for 911 response time it appears that in your largest cities 6 minutes is the rule! 6 MINUTES is a lifetime when you’re under attack! It took 20 minutes for the 1^st responders to get the school in Connecticut! That is abominable and shameful! Where were they when this maniac was killing the children?

High court poised to upend civil rights policies!? Voters Rights Act and Affirmative action?

 

Government sponsored racism is the worst kind! Affirmative action used race as a criteria for picking candidates for jobs to insure that minorities got the positions! Voting Rights was gerrymandering to make sure that minority candidates would win elections! All of this is pure racism! Both of these laws have been on the books now for over 40 years, and if their intentions were to make race relations better in this country it has failed miserably!  If their intentions were to fill jobs and political positions with minorities they have succeeded but with a price! Hanging over the head of minority doctors, lawyers, police officers, airplane pilots, and so on is the question that will always linger? Did they get their positions because of affirmative action or were they the best qualified candidate!?  Elected minorities in gerrymandered districts have the same issue, were they the best overall candidate or just the best minority candidate!?   I think the best example of this was when Colin Powell was considering running for President as a Republican, there were those individuals in the Democratic Party insisting that he would not have the position he was in if not for affirmative action! Here we have the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the United States of America with the power to destroy the world at his finger tips and now we have to wonder was he the best candidate for the job!? I have no doubt Colin Powell had all the qualifications to hold that position. But was he picked over just as qualified or more qualified candidates because he was black? Makes you wonder! What will happen if the Supreme Court overturns these laws? Will businesses and schools get rid of their minority candidate list and go back to just selecting the best candidate? Will states change their gerrymandering policies so elections won’t guarantee a minority will win? Have these discrimination policies that replaced the old discrimination policies changed our society for the better? Personally I don’t think so! With white’s becoming the minority in the US now, I think you will see the majority using the same types of discrimination policies against the new white minority! It’s only human nature. 20 or 30 years from now you may see the Voters Rights Act and Affirmative action reinstated for the minority whites!
