Why is it so hard to believe that these individuals were involved in felonious activities that caused their deaths? Don't you know any police officers? Are they all racist and killers? Do you really think that? Aren't more young black men and black killings and muggings done by black perpetrators? Where are the marches and outrage about that! As a white person the reactions to these verdicts and then the riots, looting and burnings just push race relations back 20 – 30 years by behaving in a stereotypical way that black people want us to believe doesn’t happen! Do you now think businesses are going to build back in Ferguson? Just about anyone with an education are have the where with all will be leaving Ferguson as soon as possible, that includes black also!  Now what’s left! A town with no jobs, services or a base of individuals to pay taxes to maintain any city functions! So the report will be in the future that Ferguson is dying because of racism! Politicians and so called black leaders (Al Sharpton, not a leader but an agitator!) think these marches are a good thing? To what end? Black will still lead in categories such as more young men in jail then in collage, more young girls having babies with no husbands, more of their race on welfare and getting food stamps disproportionally compared to other minorities! And back to the black on black crime! Statistically a black person has more of a change to be mugged, murdered or robbed by someone in their own race than a police officer or Ku Klux Klan members! Or any white person! I personally don’t understand this outrage when there are so many other problems and issues facing the black community?! I would think there would be marches for more police officers on the streets in certain areas so your grandmother could feel safe in her neighborhood! Now go ahead and call me names and point fingers, but remember that won’t fix the problems and culture issues that lead to these situations in the first place. In closing I wouldn’t want to be a police officer today! Because when confronted with a life or death situation they may hesitate because of all of this backlash and not make it home to their families! According to the FBI at least 43 officers were killed in 2014 by felonious assault! Why are they no marches for them? Where are the politicians telling their sons to take special caution in dealing with minorities! WOW, can you just imagine the blow back on that!

In the country today under Homeland Security (Defense), the 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments are under attack. Illegal search and seizure, being arrested without a warrant or indictment, and the right to a speedy trial! We also allow TSA to touch, fondle or x-ray our wives, mothers and children just to get on a plane! And there is nothing you can do about it! We are letting the 1^st amendment slip away under the guise of Political Correctness! Try and disagree in public with homosexuality, global warming or illegal immigration!? You will certainly come under attack to silence you! Now, the Second Amendment is under attack using the pretense of saving our children. Guns don’t even make the top 6 in what causes deaths to our children. Let’s get back to this issue; don’t you think American Latinos – Latinos living in America – also have a responsibility to adhere to American law. The laws we are all expected to abide by. Laws enacted by Congress under the America Constitution. If you can't accept that then you don't accept the fundamentals of what America is and what it stands for. Before becoming an American you will be asked to subscribe to certain values. Like obeying the law!  If you have strong objections to those values don’t come to America! Especially illegally! In closing I am also very disappointed in all of the legal immigrants in this country who have not stood up against this policy allowing 4.5 million illegals to be able to get green cards and stay and work in the United States just like a citizen! I would think they would get together and file a class action suit to get back all of the expenses it takes to become a citizen legally! If we add up all the various fees required to come to the US and obtain citizenship, the total falls somewhere between $4,000 and $11,300.  Most people end up spending between $6,000 and $8,000. These 4.5 million get a free ride! If I had gone through all the right channels to become a citizen and now these people get off the hook, I would be very angry! I would want my money back! Wouldn’t you?

If this logic is allowed to set policy about what you can or cannot have based on the instrument being determined (by whom!) that it is of no value and has been created for purposes other than it should be commonly used for. And has the capability to harm or kill people then we could extend this to about everything we own for either sport or pleasure. Let's use a Corvette for example, you don’t need a Corvette! It’s too powerful! You can’t car pool with it! It uses too much gas! So we need to ban Corvettes! Or limit their power! (150 HP Corvette!) The Chevrolet Corvette has one of the highest death rates in crashes according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. We should consider banning cars, trucks and SUV’s that exceed 200 HP. It’s just not needed! We would all be safer for it! Let's even look at bows and arrows? Why in the world would anyone in today's society need a bow and arrow! They are of no common use during our daily lives and thus should be banned! See where this could lead! Giving Up Freedoms! The same with same sex marriage laws! So why is this judge’s ruling being ignored!? Because that’s what dictators do! I think the FBI should send a letter to all Federal Employees that if they are involved executing or implementing this unconstitutional action, they could be subject to legal actions such as fines, suspensions, terminations and even arrest! I think the people who will be involved in the chain to execute this illegal and now unconstitutional action should be very wary of their actions! Someone will be thrown under the bus somewhere down the road and if I were them I wouldn’t want it to be me! Also the recipients of the illegal green cards need to be very wary because supposedly if you are caught trying to use an illegal green card to get a job that will be considered fraud and if convicted the penalty is that you will never be allowed to become a citizen of the United States. I think we as a nation need to make it very scary for those who will be involved in providing legal status to 4.5 million criminals when a judge has declared the plan unconstitutional! This doesn't make sense to me! I think the Church has room for and welcomes those who are struggling with the temptation of homosexuality! But for the protection of the Saints and the good of the persons themselves, the Church has no room for those who, instead of repenting of homosexuality, wish it to become an acceptable behavior in the society of the Saints. They are wolves in sheep's clothing, preaching meekness while attempting to devour the flock.

What we need to know is that Russia has increased spending on its military between 2008 - 2013 by 31% and intends to increase that by another 33% over the next 2 years! This sent a message to Japan and Germany that we were not prepared for a war and would not want to engage in one! So they increased spending on their military and the rest is history right! So don’t be surprised one day when you look up and see Russian bombers flying overhead on their way to the Gulf of Mexico and you have the Islamic call to prayer 5 times a day echoing from your neighborhood Mosque Minaret towers!! But hey, you probably know who won the last American Idol or Dancing with the Stars while your government gave our country away to Muslims and Illegal immigrants who will in the future vote and change this country forever! Think about that today most of our children are in schools that won’t fly the flag, won’t have Christmas holidays are celebrations and are being taught that our country’s founders are all racist! I watched "Black-ish" premier episode and it was one of the worst TV show's I have ever seen. Bad writing and very bad acting! You cannot compare this show to the Cosby show with excellent writing and excellent acting! This is not even a black issue... just a bad show! On the issue of minority presence on TV I find it almost amusing today that in every show the boss or leader is now either black or a women, or better yet a black women! Also most TV commercials nowadays are populated with black people who are in charge or are the smart ones, while the white people are the subordinates or the dumb ones! And lets not forget how many mixed racial couples we now see! Getting away from race for a minute it also appears that every show has to have a resident gay person! In one show the leader is black and gay! In closing as I watched Black-ish I couldn't help but think of when Amos and Andy were on TV and the uproar to remove it because of it's portrayal of black people! You would think we would here the same about this garbage called Black-ish!

News flash for conservatives, Christians, libertarians or anyone in America who embraces traditional values, the rule of law, common sense, basic math, a more secure nation or politicians who put you and your family first: You have lost or are losing across the board. Period.

With the re-election of Barack Obama — and he and his campaign should be congratulated for not only running a winning campaign but, more importantly, for also exploiting the weaknesses created by the nanny-state — there is now no more mystery or doubt. Liberal ideology rules supreme in our country and to say otherwise, is to deny the facts.

This winning liberal ideology — or theology to many on the far left — has been aided, abetted, guided and shaped by many in the mainstream media who now openly turn their backs on ethics, professionalism and character in favor of evangelizing for their new faith.
Be it the major networks, the cable networks or most of the top newspapers in the country, all now have highly influential personnel who have deliberately cast aside morality for liberal victory at any price.

Unfortunately, much worse than that, many of these same media personalities and outlets have added character assassination of conservatives or conservative viewpoints to their rhetorical arsenals.
The most egregious and recent example of this being when the editorial writers for the Washington Post gleefully smeared almost 100 Republican House members with the charge of racism. In their jumping-the-shark attack titled, "The GOP's Bizarre Attack On Susan Rice," the Washington Post wondered:

"Could it be, as members of the Congressional Black Caucus are charging, that the signatories of the letter are targeting Ms. Rice because she is an African-American woman? The signatories deny that, and we can't know their hearts. "What we do know is that more than 80 of the signatories are white males, and nearly half are from states of the former Confederacy. You'd think that before launching their broadside, members of Congress would have taken care not to propagate any falsehoods of their own."

Amazingly, the Republican leadership just took this false and obscene charge on the chin. Rather than taking to the airwaves to demand an apology from the Post and rounding up a good legal team to sue for defamation, the GOP leaders went silent. Of course, this would be the same leadership that threatens the few conservatives in the House with expulsion from committee assignments if they don't tow the "water down our principles" line, so their ducking an issue of integrity may be understandable. In and of itself, that's yet another glaring example of why the liberals now control the megaphone of America and rule supreme. All too often, conservatives, Christians and anyone who espouses traditional values will simply wring their hands and say "what are we to do" when their beliefs are attacked or eradicated. The polar-opposite of that being the reaction from the far left when they feel threatened. Be it gay marriage, the unsustainable and economy-destroying benefits for public-employees, "global warming," ObamaCare, extending unemployment benefits to infinity, open borders, legalizing drugs or a host of other issues, many on the far left will fight tooth and nail to defend that which is dear to them. They will march, they will boycott, they will harass, they will cyber-attack, they will be relentless. And finally, they will intimidate many politicians and corporations into complete capitulation.As to why those who believe in traditional values and the rule of law don't fight back, it's because everywhere they turn, they see the battle lost.
The media? The far left controls it. Entertainment? The far left controls it. Education from pre-school to post-graduate? The far left controls it. Music? The far left controls it. Pulitzer and Nobel prizes? The far left controls them. The unions? The far left controls them. Historians? The far left are the historians. The "message" of America? The far-left dictates it.

Somewhere along the way, conservatives and all who believe in traditional values ceded every single bully-pulpit to the far left. The evidence is clear:

You have to make sure everyone is on the same page! Here's where terms are different to each person. When you say beating are they hearing spanking? When I say spanking are you hearing beating? When entering this discussion I think each party has to agree to what is a spanking and what a beating is! For example: a spanking could be a swat on the bottom of a fully clothed and padded little kid when you may have to get their attention! Like stay out of the street or don't touch hot stuff! A beating is when you whip a child with an object or even your hands that causes bodily harm! Such as sever bruising or open wounds!  Then there is intent!? Did the person really intend to do bodily harm? After looking at the Peterson pictures you could put this into the category of a beating! If in his world the way he was raised that is ok then he needs counseling! Not jail! I can relate because I came from a world of corporal punishment when I was a child. In today’s world what my father did to me was a beating! Why, because it falls into the category of causing bodily harm with intent! He had what I recall as a straight razor belt. That’s what use to hang from the barber’s chairs back in the day when they needed to sharpen their straight razors! He would hall this thing out and beat me until I bled! He didn’t beat any of my siblings this way and when I mention this they don’t believe me. That’s because they were never around when it happened! Do I hate my father? No, that’s what he thought was necessary because I have to admit I was a very bad kid! The only person in the whole world that I feared was my father, no one else! Even the Nun’s at my Catholic School in Cincinnati called St. Theresa could beat you with a paddle with your parents’ permission! Sister Mary Luke, who was built like a linebacker, had a paddle in her office with holes drilled through the top so it went through the air faster! I was also beaten with this thing a time or 2! And yes it left some nasty bruises!  I never beat my children, but I did swat them on their bottoms occasionally when they needed it! Once when my oldest daughter was very young she did something that made me very angry and I took after her with my belt! When she turned and looked at me with such fear in her eyes I almost died! That was the last time I even thought about that! In closing I think spanking a child is ok but beating a child is not! In this case, did he go too far? Probably! Did he intend to make him bleed? Only he knows!  As far as Charles Barley’s comments, here again I think he probably meant spanking and everyone was hearing beating! That’s my opinion!

I don’t know if you watched the Fashion Rocks concert the other night BUTT is was amazing that all the female performers’ dresses like street walkers and many just had to bend over and show the rear ends! There seems to be some sort of BUTT battle between J’LO and Nicki Manaj ! With a host of wannabe’s following in their footsteps! This is great to expose to our young impressionable teens! Show your butt, spread your legs as wide as you can and learn how to TWERP, why not learn pole dancing also! Also our young male teens will want to emulate Justin Biebar and strip to his underwear for all to see! So when your young girls start to show their butts, spread their legs and twerp at their slumber party you host don’t act shocked! When your teen son shows up at the dinner table in his underwear when you have a house full of guest don’t act shocked!  You have allowed them to be exposed to this trash, so what do you expect! Can you imagine Teresa Brewer, Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, Joni James, Patti Page, Della Reese, Dinah Shore, Jo Stafford, Kay Starr, and Sarah Vaughan twerping and showing their butts on TV!? These LADIES had talent and all they needed to do was sing! I don’t understand why today’s female singers have to act like strippers when they perform? Shame that our young girls have to be exposed to it!

It is said we shouldn’t separate families, but we do that all the time when we send other criminals to prison for crime they commit don’t we? This story seems to want to indict the US for not helping criminals who shouldn’t be in this situation in the 1^st place!  The issue about long response time to 911 calls is ridiculous!

There are cities in the US where response time to 911 calls are long and sometimes they never respond based on severity and personnel available!  Also let us all understand that one of the reasons we are being flooded by illegals is the siren call from our President with the promise of AMNISTY! If we are not going to make it clear that coming here illegally is not a good idea and we are not going to fund the necessary amount of monies it really cost to shut the borders down or at least enlist locals to help instead of trying to prosecute those who do, then, I think we should just open the borders and let everyone in after they pass a physical to make sure they’re not bringing in things like TB or Ebola!  We should then set them up in housing, provide each family with an EBT card and also provide free medical care. Arrange for them to have jobs paying at $15 an hour minimum! These are the services that most illegals get anyway!  We could fund all of this by dismantling the border patrol and ICE and all other organizations currently trying in vain to stop the illegal invasion!  There is a process already in place for immigrants to apply for citizenship that they could follow.  I say we need to do one or the other, shut the border down (which we can if want to!) or let them in! Being stuck in the middle just make everything a mess! Another thing people need to understand is why progressives like Obama want these people here and wants to give them amnesty! VOTERS my friends! When they or their children become voters there is a good chance that the 12 to 20 million voters will vote for people that gave them amnesty not those who fought it! Can you imagine what will happen to this country with that huge voting block! Don’t be surprised that your great grandchildren will have to speak Spanish  and become second class citizens!

I haven't posted anything because the same old stuff is happening around the Globe that I have commented on before. Radical  groups around the world we should have taken out a long time ago! More liberal judges overruling the will of the people across the country in regard to homosexual marriages! Goes back to why should we vote? Black people rioting when they don't get their way! Like a bunch of wild animals consuming their own community! Here was an opportunity for our president to stand up and lead the country, but here again he didn't! In regard to his leadership the world is in chaos because the USA seems to have gone into hibernation as Russian invades the Ukraine and terrorist cut of the heads of US citizens! Where is Black Jack Persian when we need him? Of course during this time we have our leader working on his golf game! He is a frightening man! But I still say what is more frightening is the people in this country who elected this guy in the first place!

The Architect of Destruction

Barack Obama appears to be a tormented man filled with resentment, anger, and disdain for anyone of an opinion or view other than his. He acts in the most hateful, spiteful, malevolent, vindictive ways in order to manipulate and maintain power and control over others. Perhaps, because, as a child, he grew up harboring an abiding bitterness toward the U.S. that was instilled in him by his family and mentors…it seems to have never left him.

 

It is not the color of his skin that is a problem in America.

 

Rather it is the blackness that fills his soul and the hollowness in his heart where there should be abiding pride and love for this country.

 

Think: Have we ever heard Obama speak lovingly of the U.S. or its people, with deep appreciation and genuine respect for our history, our customs, our sufferings and our blessings? Has he ever revealed that, like most patriotic Americans, he gets "goose bumps" when a band plays "The Star Spangled Banner," (no. he gets goose bumps when he hears the '''Muslim call to prayer"""(his words))))) or sheds a tear when he hears a beautiful rendition of "America the Beautiful?"

Does his heart burst with pride when millions of American flags wave on a National holiday - or someone plays "taps" on a trumpet? Has he ever shared the admiration of the military, as we as lovers of those who keep us free, feel when soldiers march by? It is doubtful because Obama did not grow up sharing our experiences or our values. He did not sit at the knee of a Grandfather or Uncle who showed us his medals and told us about the bravery of his fellow troops as they tramped through foreign lands to keep us free. He didn't have grandparents who told stories of suffering and then coming to America, penniless, and the opportunities they had for building a business and life for their children.

 

Away from this country as a young child, Obama didn't delight in being part of America and its greatness. He wasn't singing our patriotic songs in kindergarten, or standing on the roadside for a holiday parade and eating a hot dog, or lighting sparklers around a campfire on July 4th as fireworks exploded over head, or placing flags on the grave sites of fallen and beloved American heroes.

 

Rather he was separated from all of these experiences and doesn't really understand us and what it means to be an American. He is void of the basic emotions that most feel regarding this country and insensitive to the instinctive pride we have in our national heritage. His opinions were formed by those who either envied us or wanted him to devalue the United States and the traditions and patriotism that unites us.

 

He has never given a speech that is filled with calm, reassuring, complimentary, heartfelt statements about all the people in the U.S. Or one that inspires us to be better and grateful and proud that in a short time our country became a leader, and a protector of many. Quite the contrary, his speeches always degenerate into mocking, ridiculing tirades as he faults our achievements as well as any critics or opposition for the sake of a laugh, or to bolster his ego. He uses his Office to threaten and create fear while demeaning and degrading any American who opposes his policies and actions. A secure leader, who has noble self-esteem and not false confidence, refrains from showing such dread of critics and displaying a cocky, haughty attitude.

 

Mostly, his time seems to be spent causing dissension, unrest, and anxiety among the people of America, rather than uniting us (even though he was presented to us as the "Great Uniter"). He creates chaos for the sake of keeping people separated, envious, aggrieved and ready to argue. Under his leadership Americans have been kept on edge, rather than in a state of comfort and security.                

He incites people to be aggressive toward, and disrespectful of, those of differing opinions. And through such behavior, Obama has lowered the standards for self-control and mature restraint to the level of street-fighting gangs, when he should be raising the bar for people to strive toward becoming more considerate, tolerant, self-disciplined, self-sustaining, and self-assured.

 

Not a day goes by that he is not attempting to defy our laws, remove our rights, over-ride established procedures, install controversial appointees, enact divisive mandates, and assert a dictatorial form of power.

 

    · Never has there been a leader of this great land who used such tactics to harm and hurt the people and this country.

 

    · Never have we had a President who spoke with a caustic, evil tongue against the citizenry rather than present himself as a soothing, calming and trustworthy force.

 

    · Never, in this country, have we experienced how much stress one man can cause a nation of people - on a daily basis!

 

Obama has promoted the degeneration of peace, civility, and quality of cooperation between us. He thrives on tearing us down, rather than building us up. He is the Architect of the decline of America, and the epitome of a Demagogue.

Do you haters out there know where the billions of dollars come from in this country to provide animal conservation and protection?! How much money and time do you haters actually give to animal protection or do you just #$%$ which is the easy thing to do! Not like other taxes all monies from hunting licenses goes to animal conservation and protection! Every year in Kodiak Alaska licensed are strictly managed and the majority of bears killed are male Females with cubs are prohibited! Killing a bear sounds mean and unnecessary but considers this! These biggest threats to bear cubs are large male bears that kill them for food! Actually by eliminating the boars in the fall save many cubs so the species will continue to thrive! Also did you know that large rouge male lions will kill all of prides cubs if and when they take over! That could be 2 – 30 cubs depending on the size of the pride! So the next time you see a large mail bear or a large male lion taken during a hunt there is a good chance that thousands of dollars were given to wild life preservation for the right to hunt and many cubs from both species were probably saved so the species can actually grow and prosper!

The problem here is even if any other player may find Sam a distraction or feels uncomfortable sharing a locker room or sharing a shower with someone with a sexual orientation towards men dare not speak out. In this PC world they would be called all kinds of names and probably lose their job! I think Sam is a distraction, but no one will say so. I think Tony Dungy is just being honest and like I said in this PC world he is being roasted for it! Shame because Tony Dungy is a man we should all admire and listen to. I still ask if a player in any sport comes out and admits to a different gender orientation: a male attracted to males sexually, a female attracted to other females sexually! Should there be a separation of facilities as we separate men from women? Should a male player attracted to men sexually be allowed to share showers, bathrooms and locker rooms where there will be males milling around half naked or totally nude? Is it fair to the heterosexual males and females to be subject to glares and outright sexual activity! I remember when I was in high school gym class and we would all take a shower after class; there was one guy who always had an erection in the shower! He said hot showers had that effect on him… we found out later that he was gay! To this young man it must have been like dying and going to heaven!? The rest of us felt disgusted! If we allow gays to shower with and share dressing room facilities, why not just have one big community shower and dressing room area for heterosexual men, homosexuals, lesbians and straight women! Let the bashing and name calling begin!

So Why Vote!?

What I find disturbing in the US is that even though people go to the polls and usually with a very high percentage don't want their governments to recognize homosexual marriages their wishes are overturned by a single judge who has a different believe or political leanings. What we need to understand in this country is that with progressive judges ignoring the will of the electorate and a progressive president who uses executive orders like a dictator when he doesn't get his way through congress (dully elected officials representing the people!) leads to a frustrated and angry populace who lose faith in our system. Ever wonder why so many people don't vote! They say it doesn't make any difference! I am starting to think this may be true! Law abiding citizens have gone to the polls in boarder states and voted in referendums and laws to help stem the tide of illegal immigration and the federal government comes along and beats them over the head like their the bad guys not the illegal aliens!? Law abiding citizens go to the polls and vote to not have the government recognize homosexual marriages and along come a progressive judge who overturns it! Law abiding citizens go to the polls and elect Congressman/women and Senators to represent their wish when it comes to issues like immigration and gun control! When our progressive president can’t get his way through congress he issues executive orders essentially bypassing the process!  So why vote??

So we have our government recognizing homosexual marriages, opening its arms to illegal aliens and providing de factor clemency to a majority of them, still trying to ban and take our guns a way even calling the constitution and out dated document! All of this is happening even after elections and polls indicate that these activities go against the majority of law abiding citizens in this country! What’s also amazing to me is we have a president with the lowest rating of any president since World War II walking around like he has some sort of mandate from the people! It would be funny if it weren’t so frightening knowing the emperor has no cloths but no one really wants to say so for fear of some serious blow back and intimidation from the president’s minions which includes most of the main stream media! The main stream media will no longer allow debate on issues such as global warming!  The main stream media is used to demonize certain groups or individuals who are seen as a threat to the progressive agenda! Tea Party, Evangelical Christians or just Christians in general and how about the NRA! If you’re in the Tea Party they label you as a racist nut or a tea bagger! If you are a Christian and still believe the country is on the wrong track you are a right wing nut who still believes in the Ten Commandments! And god forbid is you belong to the NRA! They have demonized legal gun owners and especially the members of the NRA! With the help of the main stream media they always depict a NRA member as a big white bubba type guy in overalls wearing a hunting hat maybe chewing tobacco holding guns standing amongst dead children with a toothless smile on his face! This would be like depicting a member of the NAACP as a black man with pikanini hair big flat nose and big oversized lips really black skin (can’t pass the grocery bag test!) wearing overalls with one strap undone, slingshot in back pocket bare footed standing in a cotton field ogling the white women on the corner! Two others in the background dealing crack! Just how long do you think they would get away with that! But it’s ok to depict an NRA member as a big stupid white bubba! Well time to go I am getting older and don’t have much time left on earth and I am very worried about the world my grandchildren and great grandchildren will be living in! But that’s a whole other issue!

And like Rahm Emanuel said, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”! The Second Amendment will now be under attack again using the pretense of saving our children. Guns don’t even make the top 6 in what causes deaths to our children. In the country today under Homeland Security (Defense), the 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments are under attack. Illegal search and seizure, being arrested without a warrant or indictment, and the right to a speedy trial! We also allow TSA to touch, fondle or x-ray our wives, mothers and children just to get on a plane! And there is nothing you can do about it! We are letting the 1st amendment slip away under the guise of Political Correctness! Try and disagree in public with homosexuality, global warming or illegal immigration!? You will certainly come under attack to silence you! So in closing I see the Progressives in our society from Obama on down using this tragedy to try and further their political agenda! One major part is to disarm the American public! The Sunday morning talk shows will be attacking every and anyone who supports gun rights!

I know it is said that the Bible is the word of GOD, but it was written by men over hundreds of years that reflected their beliefs at the time. We must remember the Old Testament is written from a Jewish perspective and primarily deals with living by the laws that Moses brought down from Mt. Sinai and maintaining the lineage of Abraham. It appears that the only thing God approved and supported was any copulation that maintained that lineage such as the story Abraham, Sarah and Hagar! This begets Isaac and Ishmael! And we all know what happens after that! Along comes (Saul) Paul who was not even one of the twelve apostles but was going to Rome to assassinate Peter when Jesus appeared to him (why I can’t figure!) and told him he was to be his instrument to convert all of the Gentiles to Christianity! Here is where the split starts between the Jews from the Old Testament and Christians in the New Testament primarily because Christians worshipped Jesus as their savior and Jews did not! Also to convert Gentiles Paul and others changed, ignored or removed many of the laws brought down from Mt. Sanai such as things like circumcision! When Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity is when we saw many of the rules of marriage inserted into the New Testament! If we listened to Jesus and Paul we would all be celibate!! The new testament has so many quotes about marriage and so many interpretations that each and every one based on his or her upbringing an prejudices can find what they need to support their position. One thing I have gleaned from the Bible is that Scripture is clear about marriage being a holy and divinely established covenant. It is equally clear about our obligation to honor and obey the laws of our earthly governments. Remember what Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's"! What this could mean is if our government decides that is it legal for a man to marry a man then that is a marriage in the eyes of the law! So be it! Most of these marriages are performed in civil ceremonies which is just a quick way of engaging into a legal partnership! Even when men and women get married in civil ceremonies it’s just a quick way for them to engage in a legal partnership governed by the laws of the state in which they are married. Will they now be able to move on and get married in the eyes of God is another issue that will be debated for a very long time. It is currently apparent that most traditional religions will not perform a wedding ceremony for same sex couples! Do they need that to be married in the eyes of God? For many these unions will never be sanctioned in the eyes of God, but the fight now is just to be sanctioned in the eyes of the law! Like I said earlier, “So be it!”
