Adrian, I am so sorry that you will now be attacked from all quarters because you have an opinion about gay marriage! They will want your head! They will want you to apologize! The NFL will probably send you to sensitivity training! (Brain
washing!). You are one of the greatest football players to ever play the game! But
now you will be ruined through the media, you will be called a homophobe! This
may have ended your wonderful career! Evidently Adrian didn’t get the letter
about political correctness that you are not allowed to question gay marriage
and other progressive causes! Gun Control, Climate Change, Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, and Obamacare just to mention a few! These are all third rail issues that if
you disagree with any of them you are attacked and discredited. I don’t know what
happened to the 1st amendment in the United States that covers free speech! Adrian I hope you are prepared and have the strength to withstand what’s going to come your way! In my opinion the progressives or liberals or whatever they call themselves today use the tactics that were so successful shutting opposition in Germany and Russia years ago. Any opposition to their stances and
programs were to be destroyed, politically, financially and even character assignation! First they are going to want an apology from Adrian! If not forth coming he will be labeled a homophobe by the main stream media, also the left wing talk shows like MSNBC! This will be the character assassination part of the attack! Next they will want the NFL to discipline him in some sort
of way that threatens his livelihood! Attacking him financially! Next and maybe worst of all they will try and label him a Republican! I hope this young man who from what I have read is not only a great football player but a great person who supports many charities and causes in the Minnesota area! It’s sad but your life as you knew it is now over! You were thought of very highly in the NFL and your community! This will now change and I hope there will be many friends in high places that will support you! But don’t count on it, you will now be considered a pariah and will be dropped like a hot potato for this opinion of yours because anyone who supports you will then also come under attack! Good luck Adrian I hope you survive the fire storm that you have whipped up!

To me, this is not complicated ate all! Did the personnel at Benghazi ask for help? Answer YES! Did our government try and send help NO! Did our people die because of this YES! And now through the power of the MSM, they are trying to deflect this as all political! Try and tell that to our dead soldiers, diplomats and their families!  Shame on all of them! They let these patriots die for some ungodly reason and now they want to lie about it! Guns to Mexican cartels being used to kill innocent people (and they want to make it illegal for law abiding citizens to own the same guns!), Billions of bullets and Armored Personnel Carriers being bought up by Homeland Security, Benghazi, IRS and our soldiers still dying in Afghanistan because of rules of engagement leaving them like sitting ducks! When will someone answer for this? When will the MSM wake up and ask the tough questions and not let them off the hook? When will our Senate demand answers from this administration about any of this!? Have we lost our country to this regime that seems to ignore the constitution, refuses to answer to the American people! Geeez I almost forgot, the American people voted this regime into power! I hope you got what you wanted! I think America history in the future will be split before Obama and after Obama!

Is $350,000 considered rich? Individuals who earn this type of money are self-employed business owners or in a profession that doesn’t have set hours. Like 40 hrs. a week! These people could be working 50 – 60 hrs. a week  to maintain this level of income! Also most will have college degrees, advanced degrees such as MBA, or let’s throw in Doctor or Lawyer! So these individuals paid the price financially and mentally to prepare themselves to be a high earner! Statistics also show that individuals who become millionaires by starting their own business or creating a product will have failed and lost everything at least 3 times! Let’s also note that small business owners and Doctors and Lawyers create jobs that generate more taxes for the country through the payroll taxes and all other taxes their employees will pay. Now let’s look at that $350,000! Let’s assume we are talking about a person who is married with one child! (Please note that all of these taxes will increase significantly under the new taxes on the rich kick in!) $350,000 – 89,000 (fed taxes) – 6,621 (SS) – 5,000 (Medicare) – 21,000 (6% Sate taxes) now = $228379. This family will not qualify for any type of government assistance so every expense will have to come out of their pockets! $228,379 – 30,000 (Medical) – 30,000 (Collage) – 25,000 (Property Taxes) - 12,000 (Misc) = $131,379! Let’s assume they will now use this money to buy cars, boats and maybe even a large RV. All of that will generate more jobs and taxes! So in review we have an individual(s) who spent the time and money to prepare themselves for their future either by obtaining an advanced degree or becoming a Doctor or Lawyer (which requires working many years with long hours and small pay!) Just ask an intern in law offices and interns or residents at hospitals! Once they become successful after paying their dues (see above!), they then generate taxes, (146,000) directly out of their pockets and all the payroll taxes that their employees will pay! This creates a snowball effect when these employees become consumers which generate more jobs and taxes!  More jobs and taxes will be generated as I mentioned above when the disposal income of $132,379 is used to buy cars, big screen TV’s, boats or even a large RV! How about even the gardeners and people who take care of their pool! Instead of begrudging the rich we need to look at them in new light, or the way we used to look at the rich before people wanted to start class warfare!  The rich are generally tax, and job generators! The rich are generally contributors to or society and help keep it going for everyone! One thing I failed to mention, most of the so called rich people I know are very thankful for their success and give back through religious or civic charities! This is usually done anonymously for many reasons! So let’s get off the back of the so called rich for a while because they do contribute to our society on many levels and will have to contribute more in the future!

Is he going to be allowed to shower with the straight men?  If he has a different sexual orientation meaning he is attracted to men sexually, should he not have separate facilities? Don’t tell he has enough self-control to be around naked and partially naked men without getting aroused! If not then he is not a true homosexual!? Isn’t that why we separated men and women? If gays/lesbians are allowed to share showers, bathroom and changing facilities way not have men and women do the same?  The 1^st time someone thinks he’s looking at them a little too long he is going to be in trouble! Oh. I forgot confronting a gay person is now a hate crime! I imagine I will be branded a homophobe just by asking these questions?!

Looks like Obama thinks the Marines can be used as his own valet service! As Commander and Chief he should know better! Even having them servicing the Turkish Prime Minister! I think that is shameful!  

Even though he is the commander in chief, there are some orders that even President Obama cannot give!

Hosting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Rose Garden today, the president requested a standing Marine to open an umbrella and protect his head from the light rain that was falling. However, according to Marine Corps regulations, not even the President of the United States can request a serving officer to carry an umbrella without the express permission of the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

The Marine Corp Manual, which is the bible for all soldiers serving specifically states that the soldiers uniform dress code does not allow the carrying of an umbrella and 'no officer or official shall issue instructions which conflict with, alter, or amend any provision without the approval of the Commandant of the Marine Corps.' Indeed, male Marines are informed never to carry an umbrella from the earliest phases of training. Regulation MCO P1020.34F of the Marine Corps Uniform Regulations chapter 3, rules out any use or carrying of an umbrella while a Marine is in uniform.

I like this next picture. Look at Obama’s face! Look at the Marine’s face! Marines work very hard to present themselves as professionals and at the top of their game. This Marine had to achieve a high status within the Corp to be assigned to the White House! Then he is treated like a valet and not as a professional soldier! My take here is Obama’s facial expression shows you someone being very arrogant! He is even trying to adjust how this Marine is holding the umbrella! The Marine’s facial expression tells me his is embarrassed and humiliated! Also I think he has just lost whatever respect he had for the president for this lowly action! I guess we shouldn’t expect more from Obama, remember he let his soldiers die in Benghazi as they pleaded for help!   

 

I think these pictures tell us much about our president! His arrogance! His disrespect for these Marines as individuals and the Marine Corp as a whole!

Her we go again! Let’s blame the Republicans! Let’s say 95% of Climate Scientist blames humans for more tornados? Have we had more tornados? Yes we have! Yes 2011 was a particularly bad year for fatalities! But there have been worst years in the past… 1917, 1925 and 1936! These years were way before Climate Change?  Your condemnation of the 5% who disagree is typical! Anyone who disagrees with you has to be on the take! How many of your 95% are on the payrolls of businesses or institutions that will benefit significantly financially if laws are passed to force the use of alternate energy producers such as: Windmills, Solar, Wind, Geothermal, and Hydroelectric just to name a few!  We know that Al Gore will become an instant Billionaire if these laws are passed. He admitted so to congress by saying he had made good investments! I think we should look into your investments Senator Whitehouse? Could be interesting reading? And I would like to know how you can measure the earths temperature for over 800,000 years!? For goodness sakes…! Global warming skeptic and meteorologist Anthony Watts, whose wattsupwiththat.com website has been called the "world's most viewed climate website," released a scientific discussion paper in July 2012 that crushes the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's [NOAA's] "global warming" data claims. The study, co-authored with Dr. John R. Christy of the University of Alabama at Huntsville, Stephen McIntyre of Toronto, Canada, and Evan Jones of New York, concluded that "reported 1979-2008 U.S. temperature trends are spuriously doubled, with 92% of that over-estimation resulting from erroneous NOAA adjustments of well-sited stations upward." I would guess the above scientists are part of the infamous 5%...   (Quoted from an article by Patrick Leahy.) I would love to see an open debate between the scientists to come to a conclusion about this issue! If the scientists supporting Climate Change are correct we could be heading for a disaster! If the scientists who dispute these claims are correct and we spend billions unnecessarily then we are also heading for big trouble! And yes I have noticed tornados! We have 1500 or so every year across the United States! This reminds me of the coming ice age that was predicted during the 70’s. As a matter of fact the cover page of Time Magazine in April 1977 had the article about how to survive the coming Ice Age!? According to the predictions at the time New York should be under about 10 feet of ice by now!

It’s that simple!  I would compare her to Tokyo Rose! Consistently supporting the efforts of North Viet Nam against the South! Consistently using the American media telling our soldiers they were fighting an unjust war and at times directly supporting the North on her visits to Hanoi! Sitting in gun turrets used to shoot down our brave pilots! Going to POW camps and providing propaganda for the North indicating that our soldiers were being treated humanely when in fact they were being tortured every day!  She even turned in some POW’s who were trying to get messages out about their treatment! When their guards found out through her, these men were tortured brutally! What if a celebrity during WWII had gone to the concentration camps and reported how well the prisoners were being treated?  Stand next to German u2 rockets smiling and clapping their hands amongst German military officers! What would have happened to them? Even if you disagree with our countries policies for going to war, once the boots of our soldiers hit the ground it’s time to support them and not provide aid and comfort to our enemies!  This just emboldens them to hang on!  And makes our soldiers question support from the American people!? Like I said in the beginning she is a TRAITOR! TRAITOR! TRAITOR!

$6,300,000,000,000 the cost of immigration reform to the tax payers over time! I think Jim DeMint puts all of this in perspective and articulates the issue so it’s easy to understand! My opinion is that all of these politicians (Republicans and Democrats) are all trying to buy these votes! I don’t think that Americans today residing in the United States really understands the impact of 12 to 20 million new voters coming on line in the next ten years! These individuals will change the landscape of the U.S. as we know it today! Do you think these individuals will vote for candidates who want to cut cost, reduce the size of our welfare state that is out of control. There are more Americans on food stamps, welfare, Medicade and disability than ever before! We are move very fast to a tipping point to where the have not’s outnumber the haves! And Obamacare will be sucking the tax payer dry over the next ten years also! I can envision the country falling into chaos when it becomes apparent the the U.S. Government promised more than it can pay and actually has to declare bankruptcy and default on all the loans that were made to support the welfare state as we know it today! I understand that there are about 4.5 million individuals who are waiting to enter the country legally, I say round up and send home 4.5 million of these illegal aliens and send them back to where they came from! Then we can let the 4.5 million legal aliens in to replace them! It might also be best if we are going to essentially give these 12 - 20 million illegals amnesty then I say let’s just open the boarder and let anyone who can work come into the country if they want to! Over the next ten years another 12 – 20 million illegals will slip in any way! Remember 1986! The Immigration Reform and Control act was passed by congress! It legalized illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously with the penalty of fine, back taxes due, and admission of guilt. About three million illegal immigrants were granted legal status. The law criminalized the act of knowingly hiring an illegal alien and established financial and other penalties for those employing illegal immigrants under the theory that low prospects for employment would reduce undocumented immigration. It introduced the I-9 form to ensure that all employees presented documentary proof of their legal eligibility to accept employment in the United States. Evidently this failed miserably because of little or no enforcement and when they were caught the penalty was not stiff enough to scare employers into not hiring illegals!  Since the 1986 law another 12 – 20 million have snuck into our country because the government really didn’t enforce deportation and penalizing employers because WE wanted cheap labor to cut our grass, take care of our gardens, help build houses, and any other type of manual labor type jobs! But of course our unemployment rate grew because able bodied Americans realized it was better financially to stay in the welfare system where they got free food, free medical care and assistance for their housing!! Are we stupid for working all these years or what!? In closing I think this immigration reform sucks! I don’t think we should reward criminals with greatest gift we could ever give them … Citizenship in the United States of America! I think we should hire as many ICE agents that it would take to round up these illegals and send packing! I don’t want to hear sop stories about breaking up families! All criminals who break the law and get caught usually goes to jail! No one seems to care about that! Don’t tell me about how this would hurt the economy! Won’t this $6,300,000,000,000 payout hurt the economy! People it’s time for them to pay the piper !

 

And Then It Was Winter!!

For some reason this writing really hit home with me. I remember looking at "old" people and never thought I would be one! I don't know when it happened but it did. My wife and I had friends over for lunch and we talked about how we are all now 60 or over and none of us think we are old! We all seem to think at least in our heads that we are much younger! For all of you out there who have become "old" people without knowing it, this writing may hit home to you also!

 

 

And Then It Was Winter

 

You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years. It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all. I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.

 

But, here it is, the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise...How did it get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my youth go? I remember well seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like.

 

But, here it is...my friends are retired and getting grey..they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than I am...but, I see the great change...Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant...but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd be.

 

And so...now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never did!! But, at least I know that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...this I know, that when it's over on this earth...it's not over. A new adventure will begin! Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn't done...things I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I'm happy to have done. It's all in a lifetime.

So, if you're not in your winter yet...let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. Whatever you would like to accomplish in your life, please do it quickly! Don't put things off too long!! Life goes by quickly. Do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not! You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life...so, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember...and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the years past!!

"Life" is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who come after. Make it a fantastic one. LIVE IT WELL! ENJOY TODAY! DO SOMETHING FUN! BE HAPPY ! HAVE A GREAT DAY! Remember "It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver." LIVE HAPPY IN 2013! LASTLY, CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN, YET THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE. SO - ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS.

~Your kids are becoming you......but your grandchildren are perfect! ~Going out is good.. Coming home is better! ~You forget names.... But it's OK because other people forgot they even knew you!!! ~You realize you're never going to be really good at anything.... Especially golf. ~The things you used to care to do, you no longer care to do, but you really do care that you don't care to do them anymore. ~You sleep better on a lounge chair with theTV blaring than in bed. It's called "pre-sleep".

 

~You miss the days when everything worked with just an "ON" and "OFF" switch.. ~You tend to use more 4 letter words ... "what?"..."when?"... ??? ~Now that you can afford expensive jewelry, it's not safe to wear it anywhere. ~You notice everything they sell in stores is "sleeveless"?!!! ~What used to be freckles are now liver spots. ~Everybody whispers. ~You have 3 sizes of clothes in your closet.... 2 of which you will never wear again. But Old is good in some things: Old Songs, Old movies, and best of all, OLD FRIENDS!!

Former GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul has slammed US law enforcement for responding to the Boston Marathon bombing with “police state tactics.”

He has a point that we should take heed to and not just dimiss out of hand!!!!

If Martial Law is declared over an area, county, state region or country all rights under the Constitution are lost! Free speech, freedom of assembly, owning a gun, search and seizure are just a few! Is that what we would want? Armed soldiers in the streets disbursing any type of gathering, arresting people who are speaking up against Martial Law, searching homes and businesses without warrants, arresting people without due process! I am not saying this is what happened in Boston, but it came close! Citizens should be very afraid of Martial Law under any circumstances
