Sad! But this was not the NRA's fault! My wife and I are NRA members, I am 64 and she is 61, and we and other NRA members don't condone or support this type of violence and to indicate and accuse us as a group would be like condemning all Muslims for terrorist attacks! We know that's not allowed! So let's leave politics out of this please! And should he go after the National Knife Collectors Association for the three people who were stabbed to death! Certainly this headline screams politics! 'Stop this madness! We don't have to live like this! Too many people have died!"! Is he talking about all 6.6 million children under the age of five who died in recent times! More than half of these early child deaths are due to conditions that could be prevented or treated with access to simple, affordable interventions. Leading causes of death in under-five children are pneumonia, preterm birth complications, birth asphyxia, diarrhea and malaria. About 45% of all child deaths are linked to malnutrition. Children in sub-Saharan Africa are about over 16 times more likely to die before the age of five than children in developed regions. Or how about here in the US the top 5 accidental deaths among children are 1) Falls, 2) Poisoning, 3) Fires and Burns, 4) Choking, and 5) Drowning! Is this what he is talking about? It’s easy to go after a group and demonize them to blame them on society’s ills! Remember the Jews and the Gypsies! How about the Japanese citizens during WWII? I can also predict political cartoonist drawing the NRA members as goons in overalls, missing teeth with their hunting hats on toting guns and ammo standing amongst dear bodies again! And like Rahm Emanuel said, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”! The Second Amendment will now be under attack again using the pretense of saving our children. Guns don’t even make the top 6 in what causes deaths to our children. In the country today under Homeland Security (Defense), the 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments are under attack. Illegal search and seizure, being arrested without a warrant or indictment, and the right to a speedy trial! We also allow TSA to touch, fondle or x-ray our wives, mothers and children just to get on a plane! And there is nothing you can do about it! We are letting the 1^st amendment slip away under the guise of Political Correctness! Try and disagree in public with homosexuality, global warming or illegal immigration!? You will certainly come under attack to silence you! So in closing I see the Progressives in our society from Obama on down using this tragedy to try and further their political agenda! One major part is to disarm the American public! The Sunday morning talk shows will be attacking every and anyone who supports gun rights!
