Confederate Flag, Civil War (Northern War of Aggression!), Lincoln the Liar!!!!

Confederate Flag, Civil War (Northern War of Aggression!), Lincoln the Liar!!!!

What's really amazing to me is that slavery existed much longer under our American flag then did under the Confederate flag! What is also amazing to me is that Americans allow themselves to be spoon fed their history and not really investigate what really happened! For instance Abraham Lincoln was a liar and a pure politician who made many racist statements during his run for the presidency of 1860. He was trying to get the southern votes! If you read some of his quotes during this campaign and especially during debates with his opponent of the time Stephan Douglas! Example: “I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so.” – Abraham Lincoln in his first debate with Stephen Douglas in the campaign for the United States Senate at Ottawa, Illinois on August 21st of 1858.

Also the civil war started in 1861 primarily because the southern states felt they were being taxed unfairly to support northern industrialist! The war was not initially about slavery. Lincoln indicated if he could save the union with slavery he would. The Emancipation Proclamation was issued twice? Once in 1862 stating that if the rebellious states did not come back into the Union by January 1863 he would then issue the proclamation. Basically it is debated that if the southern states had come back to the union before his deadline there would have not been the proclamation and he would have saved the union with slavery intact! Also he knew that England and France were on the verge of recognizing the legitimacy of the Confederate States of America based on their original reason for succession. Lincoln was losing the war at this time and knew if England and France came in on the side of the CSA it would be over! His making the war a slavery issue put the supporters in those countries in a very uncomfortable position that delayed their support long enough for the North to make headway in the war! Also it's a fallacy that the EP freed all slaves! It only said that slaves would be freed when any of the rebellious states came under Union control. But it did not include Kentucky, Maryland, Delaware, and Missouri where slavery continued because Lincoln needed the support of these states! If he was dead set against slavery why didn't he free them also! The EP was basically a brilliant political move by the President because he knew Europe was ready to support the south, he was losing support based on the original tenets of the war. Many in the union congress at the time were willing to negotiate a settlement with the south to end the killing! You could look at the EP as an executive order almost similar to Obama issuing executive orders pardoning illegal aliens in this country for pure political reasons! Going over congress's head at the time. It would be best for our country for its citizens to educate themselves on what really caused the civil war and how Lincoln became elected on promises not to go to war and not get involved with slavery! Also to know that he was not really an abolitionist but a pragmatic politician that used the issue of slavery to turn the focus of the war to obtain his objectives! He could care less about the slaves his focus was to keep the union together by any means necessary! And let's not even talk about Sherman!
